Hi, I’m Nick

I’m a father, husband, author, investor, and director of the Kind Human Foundation, a nonprofit committed to securing the world’s most precious natural resource: water. At the foundation, we bring clean water solutions to the driest, most remote corners of the globe—driven by the belief that clean water is a vital starting point for a more abundant life.

Previously, I conducted research and served as lead author at a sprawling hedge fund in Stamford, Connecticut. I helped shape strategy and investment decisions for discretionary commodities—but also fell in love with writing. It was in crafting white papers and technical reports that I developed the tools to write my first book, Chasing Rich—a true story following me and twenty others on a journey to discover God through miracles. Astronomy, football, drugs, guns, refugees … it’s all there.

Before entering the world of oil traders and disheartened soybean salesmen, I began my career at a quant shop—first as a lowly intern, then as an analyst supporting traders. Not quite Eddie Murphy in Trading Places; more like sleep deprivation and carpal tunnel.

Despite unmet Hollywood expectations, I have no regrets. I’m grateful for the stress and setbacks. I’m grateful for the years I wrestled with purpose and direction. I’m grateful for the waiting. If there’s one lesson in Chasing Rich just for me, it’s that God uses it all. He isn’t apathetic or idle. He certainly isn’t distant, leaving me hopeful for what’s next.

“For years, I had chased Rich across city streets and through the complexities of his mind. Now, as the light turned green and I drove on, I realized the chase had changed us both. Rich had found his way home, and I had discovered the true object of my pursuit. Namely, to witness the fullness of God’s work in real time—proof of a good and ever-present companion. Chasing Rich led me to rewards far greater than I could have imagined. For that, I am forever grateful to my friend.” - Chasing Rich
